Fara K. Rodriguez has practiced exclusively as a matrimonial and family law attorney for over a decade. She is
known as a zealous advocate for her clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law.

Fara’s practice focuses on disputes involving divorce, distribution of marital and separate property assets, complex financial and custodial matters, parenting time, child and spousal support, paternity and other areas of family and matrimonial practice, including without limitation, negotiating and drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

She manages all stages of divorce litigation for both financial and custodial issues, from commencement through trial, as well as successfully negotiating, facilitating, and drafting settlements. When appropriate, she prepares cases for hearings and trials, and conducts same as lead counsel.

Fara also regularly appears in court for status conferences and motion practice, and engages in all stages of appellate practice, from writing briefs to arguing before the appellate court. Fara is adept at representing clients during this distressing time in their lives by compassionately and confidently finding solutions to the complex challenges they often face.

Prior to becoming of counsel to Arons & Solomon, P.A., Fara was associated with the prominent matrimonial and family law practice of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, LLP, in New York. Prior to joining Kasowitz, Fara was a commercial litigator at Dewey Ballantine, LLP, where she focused on security litigation and contract disputes. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.

Fara penned materials for the “Basic Matrimonial Law Series” sponsored by the New York State Bar and has lectured for the New York State Bar and for other professional associations on various family law issues. She was also honored by The Legal Aid Society for outstanding pro bono service.

Fara earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude, and her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma.

Fara lives in Englewood, New Jersey, with her husband and their five children.
