“I meet clients at one of the scariest times of their lives, both financially and emotionally. Understanding each of my client’s priorities, fears, and values is critical to my practice. Family law requires people to share personal and intimate information, and I work hard to create an environment that puts people at ease and ready to take back control of their lives. This isn’t a one-man show. I really listen to my clients, and we become partners working in tandem to design a plan for their family’s future.”

Stephanie F. Lehman, Esq.

lawyersofdistinctionStephanie Lehman is a partner at Arons & Solomon representing clients in all areas of matrimonial, family and fertility law. In addition to her unrelenting and passionate litigation of cases through trial and appeals in both New York and New Jersey, Stephanie is trained in the collaborative process and mediation.

Stephanie is experienced and well-respected within the matrimonial law profession, and most importantly, capable of offering clients in traditional and same-sex marriages emotional support through difficult and traumatic times. Stephanie’s clients appreciate her empathetic approach and therapeutic style.

Having practiced exclusively in the areas of matrimonial and family law for over 20 years, Stephanie has an active practice in both New York and New Jersey and is a highly respected member of the bar in each state.

Prior to joining Arons & Solomon, P.A., Stephanie worked as a partner for one of the biggest firms in the country and later founded and developed a matrimonial practice for a Bergen County firm.

Stephanie has appeared in The New York Times and the New York Law Journal commenting on family law. She is a published thought-leader in the field of family law, authoring several articles for Matrimonial Strategist, the New York Law Journal, New York Family Law Monthly and New Jersey Family Lawyer (a publication sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Association). She penned materials for the “Basic Matrimonial Law Series” sponsored by the New York State Bar and has lectured before the New York State Bar.

Stephanie is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Matrimonial/Family Law Section), New Jersey State Bar Association (Matrimonial/Family Law Section) and Collaborative Divorce Association for North Jersey and past member of the New York City Bar’s Matrimonial Committee. She is listed in Bergen’s Top Lawyers, 201 Magazine’s Top Lawyers, and Lawyers of Distinction through the American Bar Association.

In addition to representing high-net worth individuals in contested and uncontested matrimonial actions and child-related matters (including custody, parenting time, relocation and paternity, and domestic violence), Stephanie is on the cutting edge of fast-evolving fertility law. She represents cases involving egg donation, intended parenthood, surrogacy, frozen embryos, private and third-party adoption.

Stephanie commonly negotiates prenuptial, postnuptial, settlement and separation agreements. She advises clients on pension and retirement plans, stock options and grants, trusts, limited partnerships, closely held corporations, and the valuation of businesses, professional licenses, enhanced earning capacity, and celebrity status.

Stephanie earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School and her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, cum laude. Following her graduation from law school, Stephanie was selected to clerk for the Honorable Joseph C. Cassini, III, of the New Jersey Superior Court Family Division. Stephanie became a member of Lawyers of Distinction in 2018.
